How to park at Cardiff Airport

If you’re planning on flying from Cardiff Airport this Summer, there are a plethora of options to choose from.

Getting There

The first step, is to pop the main terminals post code into your sat nav. For the main terminal it’s CF62 3BD and for car parks just as the Highwayman Secure, it’s CF62 3BH.

The airport is about 14 miles from Cardiff City Centre, and about 10 miles from the M4 – junction 33 to be specific.

Following the local roads to the terminal is easy. Simply exit at junction 33 and follow the signposts to the Airport. You’ll pass by the A4232, A4050 and A4226.

Short stay parking at Cardiff Airport

If you’re taking a short business trip or break, you’ll want to check out the short term car parks at Cardiff Airport. The main short term car park is located right outside the main building – easy to walk with no transfer bus required.

Long stay parking at Cardiff Airport

If you’re parking longer term, you’ll have a much wider range of options including:

  • 1. NCP Long Stay 1
  • 2. NCP Long Stay 2
  • 3. Highwayman Secure

The best place to book a space is via the official website. There are no booking fees and also no limit to how early/late you can book.

Paying on the day

If you can’t manage to pre-book, you can also pay for your parking at the terminal:

  • 1. Take ticket on entry and pay at the payment machines either in the arrivals hall or in the car parks on exit.
  • 2. Take ticket on entry and pay at the Car Parking Desk in arrivals hall on exit.
  • 3. Take ticket on entry and pay at the barrier on exiting car park with credit or debit card.
  • 4. Insert a credit/debit card on entry into car park. This will act as your ticket. On exiting car park, insert the same card which will then be debited for the charge.

Disabled Parking

Disabled passenger are able to park almost anywhere at Cardiff Airport. Even the off-site car parks provide accessible transport for those who need wheelchair assistance, plus their on-site counterparts dovetail neatly into the airports own special assistance services.

Unfortunately, the costs will be the same; however, you will get a good service and shouldn’t have any huge issues.
